The Isle of Avalon Knowledge Bank IAO
The Knowledge Bank In prehistoric times, people came to Prydain (Britain) to learn and be initiated into the sacred mysteries ~ and Avalon was its spiritual capital. Hence that ‘Those Feet... in Antient Times’ did come here. Later, in medieval times, Glastonbury Abbey was home to one of Europe’s finest libraries (comparable to the Vatican). It burned down in 1184, wiping out centuries of knowledge and records. Nine centuries later, we’ve built this knowledge-bank on the Web to continue an ancient Glastonbury tradition of free thought, new ideas and wide-spectrum knowledge. |
