Dozmary Pool (England UK)

This pool is about one mile away from 'Jamaica Inn', the eighteenth-century smuggler's hideout made famous by the 1936 'Daphne Du Maurier' novel of the same name , (later turned into a film). Another legend claims that this is where 'Sir Bedivere' (See Bedivere), commanded by the wounded 'King Arthur' threw the sword 'Excalibur' (See Excalibur) into the water which was taken by the 'Lady of the Lake' (See Lady of the Lake). Another legend about this pool is that it was said to be bottomless...this was proven untrue when in the drought of 1976 in the UK, it dried up.
