Healing
This is the practise and belief of the practitioners that individuals can affect others by channelling energy from a higher source. It has existed in all cultures since the earliest recorded data of man, some of its common names and variations are Faith Healing, Absent Healing and Spiritual Healing to name a few. Some people practise at home, clinics, seminars and churches. Remember at church we are asked to pray for ourselves but also to help people in need, both in their physical and spiritual strength. Although not all forms of healing rely upon Religious faith, but do rely upon the theory that there is some form of energy that is higher than human, that we put into, receive from and possibly channel to others. Even animals are known to have had positive effects from healing. It should also be added that science will argue that these types of reports have not been observed enough under scientific laboratory conditions and so cannot yet have the support of science.
There are many healers that claim to have a gift but there are many charlatans so the advice is to check out a recognised body but also make sure you feel comfortable with the situation and person. For many it can be a new experience to others it can be frightening if they are not use to being around someone that simply is a spiritual person.
